Pastor Mike began his ministry at St. Michael’s in September of 2000.
A graduate of The Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia (’89), this is his third call.
He previously served Faith Lutheran Church in New Providence, NJ, as Associate Pastor (1989-1996) and Good Shepherd
Lutheran Church in Holmdel, NJ, as Pastor (1996-2000). A South Jersey native, he grew up in Glassboro and attended
St. James Lutheran Church in Pitman. He earned his undergraduate degree from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC.
Pastor has served on a variety of committees in the New Jersey Synod and served two terms on St. Michael’s Synod Council.
Pastor Mike typically preaches from the aisle rather than the pulpit believing that the sermon is something that should
be done with those seated in the pews rather than something done to those gathered for worship.
Pastor has a passion for teaching, for pastoral care and for leading God’s people by example.
Pastor Mike lives in St. Michael’s parsonage in Cherry Hill with his wife Beth,
two teenage children Amanda and Christopher, and black lab Abby.
